Remembrance Day Ceremony, 11 November 2020


On November 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., a small but dignified ceremony was held at the cenotaph in front of City Hall. In attendance were:

  • Comrade Fred Goodall, Poppy Fund Chairman
  • Comrade Claudette Lapointe, 2nd Vice President
  • Comrade Jack Gammon, Veteran (Korea)
  • Robert Myles, Borough President


In compliance with the protocol from Provincial Command, the wearing of masks was mandatory as was social distancing.

The general public was discouraged from attending.


Comrade Fred Goodall conducted a brief ceremony that began with the prayer ‘Lest we forget’, followed by two minutes of silence, the Act of Remembrance and closed with the singing of O Canada.

A total of fourteen wreaths were placed at the base of the cenotaph by Comrade Jack Gammon representing the Legion, Branch 094 and by Robert Myles representing the Borough of Greenfield Park.

Flag Raising ceremony at Branch 094

It was a very hot day on July 1, 2020, when Branch 094 held its annual Flag Raising ceremony in Greenfield Park.

It was also the official opening of the Branch to welcome the membership after the period of quarantine.

Social distancing (2 metres) and the wearing of face masks were the order of the day.

In spite of the heat, seven Branch Veterans were able to attend as well as members of the Executive Committee and other members.

The local venture troop - Granny's Grunts handled the logistics of the ceremony.

Short speeches were delivered by the Branch President, ComradeCheryl Moores, Federal M.P. Sherry Romanado and Borough Alderman, Peter Doonan.


Presentation of a cheque to the Centennial Cadet Corps


May 10, 2019 - Greenfield Park, Branch 094 presented a cheque of $1000 to the Centennial Cadet Corps.



$11,800.00 donation from the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 094, Greenfield Park.

January 24, 2018 - Since our branch has a reception hall that can accommodate 180 people and a kitchen, the L.A. is very active with its in-house catering service.

They cater both branch and community events including dinner/dance events, weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, sports banquets and funerals.

A cheque in the amount of $11800 was presented by L.A. president, Shirley Miller to Branch 094 President, Cheryl Moores at the General Meeting of January 24, 2018.

This was the grand total of funds that were raised during 2017 which was comprised of $10 000 in cash and $1800 of items and material purchased for the branch that include a gazebo and deck for the yard and dishes and cutlery for the kitchen.


Donation by Branch 094 Greenfield Park, to the Pierre Boucher Hospital Foundation.

At a reception for donors to the Pierre Boucher Hospital Foundation, a cheque of $2,000.00 was presented on behalf of Branch 94, Poppy Fund, Greenfield Park, Quebec, toward the purchase of a fluoroscope.
