VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE

March 15, 2020
Following the decision from the Quebec government taken today to order the closure of all bars and cancel all events, in consultation with the 1 st Provincial Vice-President and the legal advisor, I made the decision to close all Branches and cancel all events for an indefinite period of time.
This decision will be reviewed in mid-April according to the evolution of the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Application for Veteran's License Plate


• Who can order a license plate for Veterans?

  • The commemorative license plate is available to Veterans who apply to the Royal Canadian Legion for a vehicle already registered with a standard license plate.

• Eligible vehicles:

  • Passenger vehicles
  • Motorcycles
  • Electric vehicles and motorcycles
  • Motor homes (3,000 kg or less)

• License plate replacement fee for Veterans with the new model:

  • All expenses will be assumed by the SAAQ.
  • The annual cost of vehicle registration will remain the same.

• How to order the new plate model?

  • Veterans who already have a commemorative license plate will receive by mail, in the coming weeks, an explanatory letter and a form, which they will have to return to the Society to receive a license plate for the new model at no cost.
  • Those whose vehicles are not already registered with a commemorative license plate and who make an initial request to the Royal Canadian Legion will automatically receive a license plate of the new model.

• How to get a Veteran commemorative license plate when you do not already have one?

  • Veterans who do not have a commemorative license plate must apply to the Royal Canadian Legion by completing an eligibility form and paying the $ 15 to cover administration costs.
