Schedule of Baie-Comeau, Branch 003 activities for "Remembrance Day":

Monday, November 11, 2019
  • The "Remembrance Day" ceremony of Branch 003, Quebec North Shore, will take place at the Cenotaph of Baie-Comeau Pioneer Park starting at 11h00 (arrival at 10h30).
  • This ceremony will be followed by a lunch for members and guests at the Pavillon du Lac at 31 ave Legardeur, and
  • The Annual General Meeting of the Members with the election of the Branch Executive for the 2020-2021 term.

The year 2019 will mark the 75th anniversary of the landing and battle of Normandy.
For that occasion, this year’s celebrations take on a special meaning.

Sunday, November 10, 2019
  • The celebration will take place at 14h00 at St-Michel Cathedral Basilica, 130 rue de la Cathedrale in Sherbrooke.
  • The laying of the wreaths will take place at the Cenotaph on King Street West at 15h00.
  • Please let us know if you intend to assist at the 14h00 ceremony.

Schedule of Knowlton, Branch 023 activities surrounding "Remembrance Day":

Monday, November 11, 2019
  • Knowlton Branch 023 will hold its annual “Remembrance Day” parade, at the cenotaph located on the grounds of Knowlton Academy school at precisely 11h00.
  • The colours will be marched on at 10h50 accompanied by the music from the Knowlton Harmony band.
  • Wreaths will be laid following the prayers to the fallen and the sounding of Last Post.

      City of Trois-Rivières
      • The ceremony will take place at 11h00 at the Cenotaph located downtown on Notre-Dame street.
      • The ceremony will be preceded at 10h10 by a ceremony of the 12th Armored Regiment of Canada at the Jean Victor Allard Armory, rue St-Francois Xavier.
      • At 10h40 the parade will make its way to the downtown Cenotaph where the main ceremony will be held.

          • Annual Remembrance dinner (roast beef), reservations are a must, (450) 458-4882.
          • We will have a piper from the Black Watch and our guest speaker will be former Hudsonite, (Hon) Lt. Col. Colin Robinson of the RMR.
          • The dinner begins at 18h00 in the Hudson Community Centre, next to the Legion hall.

          Sunday, November 10, 2019
          • Our parade will leave at 12h45 the IGA store at 484 Main and heads to our Cenotaph and Place Vimy located at our Legion Branch.
          • This will be followed by memorials, speeches and wreath laying.
          • Light refreshments inside the Legion after.

          Maxine Bredt, the lady on the Veterans Affairs Canada 2019 Veterans' Week Poster, who just turned 100 last month, plans to march in the parade once again this year.
          If the weather is good.

          Sunday, November 10, 2019
          • Branch 147 “Remembrance Day” ceremonies will take place at 14h00 at the Cenotaph, located in the "Village Park", corner of Montarville and Lakeview.
          • Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will join the parade at Branch 147, 1622 Roberval at 13h30.
          • This year, 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron from St-Hubert will participate with two platoons, their 25 members Squadron Band and 338 “Junior Wildcats” air cadet squadron that is affiliated with 438 Sqn.
          • We will also have:
            ► The Cadet Corps 3014 Régional Marquerite-D’Youville.
            ► The Cadet Corps 2831 Mont Bruno.
            ► Boy Scouts, and
            ► Guides.
          • The dignitaries at the ceremonies will be:
            ► Member of Canadian Parliament;
            ► Member of the Quebec National Assembly;
            ► Mayor of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville;
            ► Members of the city council, and
            ► Other community groups.
          • Hopefully the weather will remain nice.

          • TOn Saturday, November 2, 2019, Branch 159 of the Royal Canadian Legion will be holding its “Remembrance Day” ceremony in collaboration with the Cadet Corps.
          • We will be gathering at the Legion at 4040 Montée St. Hubert at 10h00.
          • We will proceed to the Cenotaph located on the corner of Blvd. Payer and Baillargeon St.
          • Following the ceremony, there will be a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 159.

          Schedule of activities of Brossard, Branch 215 activities for "Remembrance Day":

          Saturday, November 9, 2019
          • The parade departure will be at 10h35 from the Royal Canadian Legion, 8940, rue Racicot, Brossard.
          • The troops will parade through the streets in a rectangular shaped around the Royal Canadian Legion and return to the starting point where the Howitzer cannon is located, for the Ceremonies in the presence of dignitaries.
          • The parade takes less than twenty minutes and normally includes the six Cadet Corps of our sector.
          • The public is invited to attend the "Remembrance Day" ceremony.
          • Roasted pork loin dinner served at 18h00.
          • Followed by an evening of dance.

          Schedule of Kahnawake, Branch 219 activities for "Remembrance Day":

            Saturday, November 9, 2019
          • Third annual "BREAKFAST for VETERANS":
            GREAT NEWS!!! The Royal Canadian Legion, KSCS and The Rail will be hosting the 3rd annual "BREAKFAST for VETERANS" on Branch 219's Parade Day, November 9, from 08h00 until 12h00.
          • Cemetaries:
            Form up at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 219, Mohawk parking lot,
            March to the Catholic cemetery for about a 15 minutes ceremony, and then the parade will proceed to the Protestant cemetery for about a 15 minutes ceremony.
            Then march back to Branch 219, Mohawk.
          • Parade:
            The parade will form up at 12h30 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 219 parking lot, March to the Cenotaph [across from the Catholic church] for the Remembrance ceremony (which is about 1 hour long).
            March back to Branch 219, Mohawk.
          • Mingle until Black Watch Pipes and Drums performs, which is at about 15h30 or so, and
          • Then the meal is served at about 16h30.

          Schedule of Beloeil, Branch 238 activities for "Remembrance Day":

          Sunday, November 10, 2019
          • The ceremony will take place at 10h45 at the cenotaph located in the parking lot of the Branch at 19 rue Choquette, Beloeil.
          • After the ceremony, participants and guests will meet inside Branch 238.
