Jean-Marie Jacques and Denise Savard have just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. This is known as the “noces d’astrakan”. Originally from Beauce, his wife lived in Loretteville, now in Val-Bélair. They had 2 children, who gave them 4 grandchildren. Jean-Marie had a long career in the Canadian Army. The “newlyweds” make no secret of their pride in having nurtured the love that brought them together, and which has endured for all these years, despite the trials of life. Denise and Jean-Marie are regulars at Legion Branch 265’s muffin and coffee get-togethers. These friendly get-togethers are held every Tuesday morning at the branch office on boul. Hamel. Congratulations to both of you!
