Maniwaki’s Filiale 187 received $57,000 in financial assistance from the As de pique draw sponsored by Maniwaki’s CHGA radio station. Thanks to Maniwaki’s CHGA radio station’s weekly Ace of Spades draw, 30% of the proceeds are allocated to Gatineau Valley organizations each week for a maximum of 52 weeks. Maniwaki Branch 187 received a donation of $57,000 for projects that would otherwise have been difficult to carry out. The funds will be used for
- Revitalizing the cenotaph;
- Adding an air of rest and contemplation;
- Scholarships for children of serving and retired military personnel;
- A shelter for Remembrance Day; and
- Other activities.
