Remembrance Day services

On Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 1 p.m. the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 185, Maple Leaf District 11, held its Remembrance Day Services at Hillcrest and St Agapit Cemeteries in Deux-Montagnes, QC.
At this ceremony Our Silver Cross Mother, Mrs. Arden MacDonald and Mr. Ron Hunt laid a wreath and then we had prayers and the names of all known servicemen laid to rest in these cemeteries were read out.
At 2 p.m. we had our Memorial Service at the Branch Cenotaph.
At this ceremony this year we laid 29 wreaths and crosses, which were laid by our Silver Cross Mother, the Legion, dignitaries from Federal and Provincial governments, Mayors of Deux-Montagnes and surrounding municipalities, Police and Fire Departments, Churches, local organizations and clubs, plus private citizens.
This ceremony was also attended by approximately 30 to 40 citizens from within the municipality and the surrounding area.
