Some cities in the province of Quebec have adopted a by-law concerning parking in their city.
This by-law allows free parking for any owner of a vehicle equipped with a Veteran license plate.
Below is a list of cities that allow free parking for veterans who own a vehicle with a license plate bearing the Poppy.

- Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (section 36 : Free parking)
- Saint-Jérôme (section 61.1)
- Sherbrooke *
- Val-d'Or (section 16, which was amended by By-law 2019-06)
* = The Veteran must obtain a parking permit, in the form of a sticker from the municipality.
